The match was already decided when Carlsson stepped into the action. He fired a shot that via a Chicago stick went in for 5–0 at the end of the second period.
At the start of the third, he stayed close to the goal and whipped in 6–0. There was 2.52 between the goals.

Carlsson’s Anaheim has won three of the last four, with the 7-0 loss against Utah last week standing out in an otherwise fine pattern.
Personal record for Söderholm in Chicago
Anaheim peppered Arvid Söderholm in Chicago’s goal with 53 shots – the first time since March 2014 that they fired over 50 shots in a game.
Skellefteå-born Cutter Gauthier was the only Anaheim player who did not get a shot on goal – he is otherwise the third best player in the NHL in that category (115 shots on goal this season).
Söderholm saved 46 shots, which in all regrets was a personal record for him.
20-year-old Carlsson has now scored 16 goals and assisted on 22 for a total of 38 points during his 29 games this fall and is seventh in the entire NHL. Colorado’s Nathan MacKinnon leads with 49 points.
