Tunisia will have a lot to do in this African Cup of Nations. Placed in a very solid group with Nigeria, Uganda and Tanzania, the Eagles of Carthage will have the primary objective of getting through the group stage without any problem before planning for the round of 16.
The Tunisian selection nevertheless has an assumed status. African champion in 2004, she has not missed any of the last 16 editions of the CAN. The Tunisians, however, remain eliminated in the first round in Ivory Coast in 2023. This edition in Morocco is therefore an opportunity to make up for it. It is also a superb dress rehearsal before participating in the 2026 World Cup, in the group of Netherlands and Japan.
This 2025 African Cup of Nations begins this Tuesday for the Carthage Eagles with a duel against Uganda at 9 p.m. at the Prince Moulay Abdellah stadium in Rabat, where the opening match of the competition was played. The Tunisians will then face the biggest player in the group, Nigeria, on September 27 in Fez (9 p.m.). They will then finish in Tanzania, again in Rabat (5 p.m.).
