CAN 2025 Opening Ceremony: Time & TV Channel

Here we go! The 35th edition of the African Cup of Nations begins this Sunday, December 21 in Morocco with the start of the host country against the Comoros at 8 p.m.

But before giving way to football, the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium will host the traditional opening ceremony before the start of this competition which will crown a new king on January 18.

In a press release, the CAN organizing committee asked spectators to come to the stadium early so as not to miss the start of the festivities. The doors of the Prince Moulay Abdellah stadium will open at 2:00 p.m. to ensure the smooth running of the event.
