CAN 2025: Morocco – Football’s Rising Power | World Sports

Mondial Sports is live from Rabat, on the eve of the start of the African Cup of Nations. Focus on the host country of the competition.

Morocco is renowned for its hospitality, but if it hosts the CAN, it is good to win it!

It must be said that on and off the field, the Cherifian kingdom no longer leaves much to the competition.

CHAN, women’s CAN final, Under-20 World Cup, FIFA Arab Cup, just a few days ago… The list of recent Moroccan successes is not exhaustive. The only African country to have reached the final four of a World Cup (the real one) has put in the means to play in the big leagues.

Morocco also shows itself capable of being a leading host country: two African Cups of Nations in 2025 alone (women’s then men’s) and a World Cup (along with Spain and Portugal) in 5 years. Just that!

Anatomy of a spectacular rise, which will have to be confirmed on the ground this winter, with Joseph-Antoine Bell, our luxury consultant, but also Karim Baldé and Matthias Raynal, RFI correspondent in Rabat!

The audio of the show will be accessible on the page from Saturday 6:05 p.m.
