The first day of the group stage of the 2026 African Cup of Nations ends this Wednesday.
While the first eight matches of the competition have been played, including victories for Morocco, Egypt and the Democratic Republic of Congo, the teams from the last two groups will enter the fray.
The program will begin at 1:30 p.m. with a meeting between Burkina Faso and Equatorial Guinea in Group E. The group favorite, Algeria, will follow against Sudan at 4 p.m. Eliminated in the first round of the last two editions of the CAN, the Fennecs must absolutely succeed in their entry to avoid plunging into doubt. The meeting will be followed live with commentary on the Parisien website.

Group E:
Burkina Faso – Equatorial Guinea, 1:30 p.m.
Algeria – Sudan, 4 p.m.
Group F:
Ivory Coast – Mozambique, 6:30 p.m.
Cameroon – Gabon, 9 p.m.
In Group F, the toughest of this CAN 2025, Ivory Coast will begin its title defense against Mozambique at 6:30 p.m. Cameroon and Gabon will end the day on Tuesday at 9 p.m. The two meetings will also be followed live on our site.
