CAN 2025: Algeria Group E Schedule – Dates & Venues

Algeria wants to restore its image. After two eliminations in the first round of the African Cup of Nations in 2021 and 2023, the Fennecs must offer a better face this year to Morocco. African champions in 2019 thanks to Riyad Mahrez, the Algerians hope to take advantage of the presence of their star, perhaps for the last time at the age of 34, to reach at least the last four.

The draw was lenient with Algeria for the first round. With Burkina Faso, Sudan and Equatorial Guinea, another early elimination would be a serious snub for the Fennecs, who have no room for error from the first match.

The Fennecs begin their African Cup of Nations this Wednesday, December 24 at 4 p.m. against Sudan at the Moulay El Hassan stadium in Rabat, before continuing in another stadium in the capital, the Prince Moulay Abdellah stadium, against Burkina Faso on Sunday, December 28 at 6:30 p.m. The last match of the group stage, against Equatorial Guinea, is scheduled for Wednesday December 31 at 5 p.m. at the Moulay El Hassan stadium.
