Baseball Cairese closes the season with the usual Christmas party, the evening celebrated the season just ended and to underline the health of the club the room was full of athletes and parents. President Simona Rebella led the evening alternating awards ceremonies and films that brought the emotions of the year to life.
Baseball5 opened the evening, recalling the excellent result obtained in Legnano Sabbia d’oro as part of the CONI Trophy, where Cairese in collaboration with the comprehensive institute of Cairo representing the Liguria region achieved an excellent sixth place out of 18 regions,
the recognition was given to Sechi Giulio, Malatesta Francesco, Totraku Orgest, Gjataj Marina, Cesi Benedetta, Claudio Lucia, Mendola Giorgia Domenica, led by Prof. Ghidetti and Coach Pascoli. Recognition also goes to Beltrame Alessandro and Cionti Jacopo, who integrated the Baseball5 group on the occasion of the Regions Tournament in Nuoro still representing the Liguria region.
Also in the context of the 2025 regional tournament for Baseball, Gabbani Achille, Baccino Fabio, Sechi Giacolo and Anez Medina Wilinver Andres were present, called up to the Senior League team to participate in the Sardinian expedition with the Ligurian regional selection.
The senior team was also the protagonist of the season and by winning the Serie C Championship it gained access to the play-offs. In the semi-final round against Bovisio Masciago the red and whites started well and stopped only in the extra innings of the decisive game 3, awarded as Best Pitcher Castagneto Giuliano and as Best Batsman Estrada Guzman Yonier.
The evening continued with the celebration of the best competitive results of the year and it was the turn of the under15 category that gained access to the Play-offs for the National title, won the Liguria cup and the City of Rovigo Tournament, for the occasion Anez Medina Wilinver Andres was awarded as MVP of the season, Sechi Giulio as “Best Relief” and Malatesta Francesco “Bomber” of the team.
Following the turn of the under-12 team that won the “Future Champions” Tournament in Sanremo and, during this winter season, is distinguishing itself in the inter-regional Indoor Western League tournament at the court of Stefano Bellino, the large group composed of: Amamou A, Aiace E, Baccino N, Canova T, Castagneto C, Gaudino T, Ghione L, Ghione S, Hachani M, Maio G, Malatesta M, Melis was awarded. L, Nicoletti S. Parodi G, Pereira L, Pioppo S, Quattrocchi L, Quattrocchi M, Ricci E, Suffia E, Veglia N,.
Finally, after a brief comment on the company’s activities, with the numbers of active school collaborations for recruitment, promotional interventions including summer camps and maintenance work carried out on the field, the management illustrated the activities planned for 2026, namely Minibaseball, under 12, under 15 and Seniors with the novelty of the baseball section5, being able to count on the contribution of two new official technicians who took the exam and obtained their license at the end of 2025: Aiace Daniele and Castagneto Giuliano.
The presence of the sports councilor Dogliotti representing the Cairese institutions reassured the audience regarding the lighting system of the diamond in Via XXV Aprile that once the bureaucratic formalities have been completed it should have the ok to start the works.
The evening ended with best wishes from the President and the entire board of directors who expressed satisfaction with the large participation and thanked the families, athletes, friends and supporters of the Cairese Baseball Club for the support. HAPPY 2026
