It could already be a decisive match day. When the BSG Wallhöfen/Ihlpohl home game day starts on Sunday (from 10 a.m.) in the Wallhöfen elementary school hall, the leaders, the second and the fourth in the table in the Badminton Regional League North will meet there. “Of course everyone is excited for this matchday, but everyone also knows how difficult the task is,” says BSG coach Niko Lütjen.
In particular, the hosts’ duel against the class leaders SG Maschen/Lüneburg, who still have no lost points, is extremely important with a view to the title fight. “If they play with a top line-up, they will be difficult to beat. On the other hand, we have a lot of self-confidence after the win against Schwinde, as well as the confidence that we can win something against the top teams,” says Niko Lütjen, who can rely on a full squad in time for the big matchday. Jale Assmus, Joana Tietjen, Sarah Kück as well as Tebbe Monsees, Yannick Rohdenburg, Jakob Puckhaber and Mathis Jaskosch will throw everything into the balance to annoy the favorites from around 12 p.m. Before that, however, the equally important duel against table neighbors SG Brietlingen/Adendorf is on the agenda.
