Marc Brys’ situation with the Cameroon national team is becoming very dire. The Belgian coach has been opposed by legend Samuel Eto’o since his appointment and last week it suddenly emerged that Brys had been fired.
However, the Belgian does not give up. Eto’o is not a fan of Brys and the duo has been diametrically opposed to each other for some time now. The former striker for Barça, Inter and Chelsea, among others, wants to get rid of Brys as quickly as possible and has himself released a selection for the Africa Cup. Now Brys checkmated the association chairman.

Frontal attack
Eto’o wants to sabotage Brys and released the news that a new national coach had been appointed, and a selection had also been made for the African Cup. Brys in turn announced that he had not been fired and the Belgian came out with his own selection.
Eto’o did not select goalkeeper André Onana and attackers Vincent Aboubakar and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, but the trio is in Brys’ selection. “Eto’o had left important players and leaders out of the selection. Because of course he had made that selection.”
🚨 | BREAKING:
André Onana has now been called up to Cameroon’s AFCON squad 🇨🇲
Manager Marc Brys, who was officially dismissed by Fecafoot president Samuel Eto’o, insists he is STILL in charge of the squad.

Not fired yet
Brys did not understand Eto’o’s selection. How can you go to the African Cup of Nations without a world-class goalkeeper (Onana, ed.)? Or without Aboubakar?”, quoted The Latest News the Belgian.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Sports in Cameroon confirmed to TV5 that Brys is indeed still the national coach. The war doesn’t seem to end. To be continued undoubtedly…
