This was a group play that started on November 1st, and a one-shot knockout round that was held from the quarterfinals on December 10th to the finals on December 17th.The top five players who received the most votes were selected by 20 media members regardless of their position.

From the New York Knicks, who won the championship for the third time, two players were selected: Jalen Brunson, who won the MVP award with a tournament average of 33.2 points and 5.8 assists, and Karl-Anthony Towns, who averaged 21.1 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 2.7 assists.
