Meet Bob, a Labrador retriever mix, who embraces life to the max. This dog with the short, palindromic name is bribable. Yes, food and toys amp up his good manners. If you need an outfielder for your baseball team, Bob’s your guy as his ability to catch a ball is legendary. Filbert
Breed: Rottweiler
Gender: Female
Weight: 77 pounds
Age: 6 ½ years
Orphaned Since: Nov. 17
Adoption Fee: $150

A Rottweiler with an unusual name, Aveline, wants to wind up her year in a cuddle- and couch-centric home. Her unique name can mean several things: little bird, strength or desire. Scratch the first one ― little bird ― but the other two describe her exactly. When happy, Aveline’s posterior goes into overdrive with wiggles and shimmies. Sometimes she morphs into guard mode when it comes to toys, but food can dial back her reluctance to share. So, are you ready to hang up an extra stocking this holiday season with Aveline’s name on it?
Dilly Dally
Breed: Domestic Shorthair
Gender: Male
Weight: 7 pounds
Age: 7 months
Orphaned Since: June 25
Adoption Fee: $150

Dilly Dally these days is a noun since it’s the name of a unique kitty. The term is also a verb that this kitty does not want you to follow ― to delay a trip to the Orlando Cat Café. What better stocking stuffer than this four-pawed addition to family. Dilly Dally, an offspring from SPCA Florida’s Mom’s Last Litter program, has asked Santa to take her down the chimney (and no, her black fur’s not from soot) to a family where she can showcase her playful nature and share her love for you all year long. She’ll greet you with her trademark Meowerry Christmas. Visit soon: www.orlandocatcafe.com
Marlo
Breed: Domestic Shorthair
Gender: Male
Weight: 3 ½ pounds
Age: 8 months
Orphaned Since: July 3
Adoption Fee: $100

SPCA Florida’s Tinker’s Legacy Cattery not only had the usual interactive toys but is decked out for the holidays. Marlo, one of the domestic shorthairs, can’t wait for Santa, or better yet, a person, to escort him home. Once settled into his new digs, he’ll celebrate the holidays with zoomies followed by couch cuddles. His sweet, infectious nature will be contagious to those who welcome him home. What a gift Marlo will be for this holiday season.
