There is still hope
The Baltimore Ravens avenged their loss 17 days ago to Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals by shutting out their division rivals 24-0. They still remain in the race for first place in the North division of the American Conference, practically the only possible avenue to participate in the playoffs. Lamar Jackson only threw 12 times, and eight balls were caught by his teammates for 150 yards and two touchdowns. Zay Flowers and Rasheed Ali were the paying targets. The Ravens defense was merciless to Burrow and the Bengals offense. She caused two interceptions, including one by Kyle Van Noy, who then handed the ball to Alohi Gilman to complete the 84-yard defensive touchdown (see video). Zachary Orr’s unit had three sacks against Burrow, who ranks fourth in the number of sacks suffered since 2020. The Ravens’ schedule will not be easy between now and the end of the season, with games against the New England Patriots, the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers in a final duel where the first place in the division could be decided.
Incredible, but true!

Patrick Mahomes injured his left knee on Sunday.
For the first time since 2014, the Kansas City Chiefs (6-8) will not participate in the playoffs, having lost 16-13 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Worse, Patrick Mahomes suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and will go under the knife. It’s that kind of season where the Chiefs’ kingdom collapses like a house of cards. Before falling in combat, Mahomes scored the only points for his attack with a rushing touchdown at the start of the game. Andy Reid’s men are 1-5 in their last 6 games. The Chargers (10-4) won 10 games for the second straight season, a first since 2007, when the team played in San Diego with a certain Phillip Rivers at quarterback. Which brings us to the return to play of the man the Indianapolis Colts brought out of retirement. Rivers, 44 and a grandfather, got the start against the fearsome Seahawks in Seattle. In his first game since January 9, 2021, he completed 18 of 27 passes for 120 yards and a touchdown, the only one of the game. Rivers threw an interception with four seconds left in an 18-16 loss. Kicker Jason Meyers scored all 18 points for the Seahawks.

Bo Nix
In a duel worthy of the Super Bowl, the Denver Broncos got the better of the Green Bay Packers 36-24. They thus sign their 11e straight victory to bring their record to 12-2 and remain undefeated at home in 7 games. Their only two losses came in weeks two and three, two games that were decided by a field goal on the last play of the game. They could well have a perfect record, were it not for these two outings. The Broncos will not complain too much, they who sit at the top of the American Conference. Bo Nix was brilliant with 302 air yards and four touchdown passes to four different receivers, including Courtland Sutton, who had over 100 yards (113) for the second time this season. Misfortune befell the Packers (9-4-1), as wide receiver Christian Watson (chest) and linebacker Micah Parsons (left knee) had to leave the game. There are fears of a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the case of Parsons, who suffered a non-contact injury. Jordan Love had 240 yards and a touchdown pass, but he was the victim of two steals, courtesy of Pat Surtain II and Riley Moss. Love also suffered three sacks, having suffered two or fewer in 11 of his last 13 starts before this duel. With their victory, the Broncos confirmed their participation in the playoffs. Which was just a formality.
Offensive feast

Puka Nacua
We expected an offensive feast between two of the best attacks on the Goodell circuit. And the fans, especially those of the Los Angeles Rams, were served with a verdict of 41-34 against the Detroit Lions. On the ground, Kyren Williams (78 yards and two touchdowns) and Blake Corum (71 yards and a touchdown) dominated the duo of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery, who totaled only 70 yards. Gibbs will therefore have to wait to break Barry Sanders’ record for the most touchdowns in his first three seasons. Puka Nacua generated 181 yards on 9 catches. Colby Parkinson caught both touchdown passes from Matthew Stafford, who finished his day with 338 yards and an interception. On a less positive note, Davante Adams did not finish the game due to a hamstring injury. His presence is also uncertain for the match against the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday evening. On the Lions side, the aerial game was marked by the performances of Amon-Ra St. Brown, with 164 yards and two majors, as well as Jameson Williams: 164 yards and a touchdown. Despite the defeat, Jared Goff does not have to be ashamed of his work, with his 338 passing yards and three paying throws. It was a profitable clash for those who have two Lions or Rams players in their Fantasy Football. Los Angeles (11-3) remains in first place in the National Conference, while Detroit (8-6) is still looking for a playoff berth.
