BVB is in talks with Jeremy Monga: He recently broke the Bellingham record
The 16-year-old is currently playing for the professionals of England’s second division club Leicester City. Despite his young age, the agile winger has already made twelve appearances this season, in which he contributed one goal and one assist.
Monga scored his debut goal on August 29 in the Foxes’ 2-0 win over Birmingham City. He promptly became the new record holder as the youngest goalscorer of all time in the Championship (second division). He replaced none other than former BVB star Jude Bellingham.
But the right-footed player has already shown his worth in the Premier League. At the tender age of 15, he was allowed to appear in the English upper house a total of seven times after Leicester City was relegated (more transfer news about BVB at RUHR24).
BVB transfer from Monga will not work before 2027
The online portal Teamtalk According to BVB, they are very interested in signing Monga. Both clubs are said to have already had initial discussions in this regard, according to the report. However, Borussia Dortmund faces two essential hurdles in this regard.
On the one hand, a transfer from Monga is only possible from 2027 due to his age. BVB would have to be patient for the time being. On the other hand, there is huge competition for top talent.
BVB transfer: Monga’s skills are reminiscent of Jadon Sancho
Manchester City, Juventus Turin, Real Madrid, Paris St. Germain, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool FC and FC Bayern – they are all said to have their eye on Monga.
Those responsible will therefore have to really stretch themselves to convince the player. Monga himself impresses on the pitch with his enormous pace and dribbling skills. These are the attributes that have been sorely missed by BVB fans since Jadon Sancho left Dortmund.
