The disciplinary committee declared the match lost in Bastia against Red Star, following the throwing of smoke on the field which led to the definitive end of this match on the 16th day of Ligue 2 on December 5, the Professional Football League (LFP) announced on Monday evening.
“After reading the investigation report”the disciplinary committee pronounced among the sanctions the “loss by penalty of the SC Bastia – Red Star match”it is indicated in a press release published on the LFP website. “The sanction takes effect immediately”it is noted.

The Corsican club, bottom of Ligue 2, also receives a suspended one-point withdrawal, while the East stand of the Armand-Cesari stadium will be closed for four matches, according to the same source.
If Bastia therefore remains stuck in 18th and last place with only 8 points, Red Star recovers three and takes the opportunity to climb to second place, with 32 points, three lengths behind leader Troyes.
On December 5, the Bastia-Red Star match was definitively stopped shortly before the hour mark, when the score was goalless, following the throwing of a smoke bomb onto the field from the kop of the Bastia supporters.
The projectile landed on the back of Audonian defender Bradley Danger and referee Romain Gaillouste called everyone involved in the match to return to the locker room after an exchange with the delegate.
