Basketball Solidarity: Meira Pavilion & TerraChaXa Food Bank

In addition, the organization undertakes to make an additional contribution in kilos of food, equivalent to the total sum of the points scored by the two teams.

The municipal pavilion of Meira will be the scene this Friday of a friendly mixed basketball game with a marked solidarity character. The initiative seeks to collect non-perishable food that will later be delivered to the Lugo Food Bank.

The event, promoted by the clubs CB Vila de Meira and CB del Lea de Castro de Ribeiras de Lea, is framed under the motto Friendly Solidarity Mixed for Equality and is committed to both social collaboration and the visibility of inclusive sport.

During the development of the meeting, a collection of basic products will be carried out. In addition, the organization undertakes to make an additional contribution in kilos of food, equivalent to the total sum of the points scored by the two teams at the end of the match.

The solidarity day is completed with the delivery of fights to participate in the raffle for a Christmas basket. Each kilo of easy food will entitle one participation, thanks to the collaboration of various local establishments and entities, as well as Compra Más Autoservicio Meira, which brings the basket.

With this activity, Meira once again shows its commitment to solidarity and support for the people who need it most, uniting sport and social action in the same event.
