Basketball: Plátano de Canarias Teguise Tournament This Weekend

LanzaroteSports

Inclusive basketball in the Canary Islands is concentrated on Saturday at the Municipal Pavilion of Teguise, with the celebration of the first day of the Yellow Group of the Canary Islands Banana Basketball League. An event that brings together a total of five teams, organized by the Canarian Basketball Federation and the CB Costa Teguise, and the collaboration of the Teguise City Council and the Lanzarote Cabildo.

The inclusive basketball day takes place in its entirety on Saturday morning at the Teguise Municipal Pavilion. An appointment in which four of the seven participating teams from the Yellow Group will be present and the poster is completed with the invitation of a team from the Green Group. The event is attended by CD Activoz, Magec Tías Inclusivo, Ravelo, Saltamos Las Barreras de Lanzarote 1, Saltamos Las Barreras de Lanzarote 2, and the invitation of CB 7 Palmas.

The Canarian Basketball Federation is a pioneer in sport for all at the national level, holding periodic concentrations since the 2021-2022 season, and with two competitions: Mental Health and Intellectual Disability. A competition that has its own ball inspired by the design of the flag of improvement, with the colors gold, silver and bronze.

The Liga Baloncesto Sin Límites Plátano de Canarias has become a benchmark in sports, actively promoting social inclusion. As a result of this inclusive competition, the Canary Islands Government’s Inclusion Sin Límites project has been created, in which Baloncesto Sin Límites Plátano de Canarias collaborates with the “La Caixa” Foundation.
