The 2025 season of the National Baseball and Baseball5 Championships ended on a note of general satisfaction, at the end of intense meetings and a technical level praised by all those involved. Clubs, athletes and managers offered a quality show, confirming the constant progression of Beninese baseball.
The final of the national baseball championship kept all its promises. In a breathtaking duel, Galaxy Baseball won against Real Baseball (4-3) after extra innings, at the end of an electric and closely contested match. A victory snatched with character which consecrates Galaxy Baseball national champion 2025.
Third place went to Privilège Baseball, author of a solid and consistent run. In Baseball5, ICON Baseball retained its title with authority. In the final, the outgoing champion won 4-1 against Parakou Baseball, thanks to a controlled performance from start to finish. The Challengers complete the podium by taking third place.
At the end of the competition, the president of the Beninese Baseball Federation did not hide his satisfaction with the level displayed: “We have witnessed very high level finals, both in baseball and in Baseball5. The intensity, commitment and sportsmanship demonstrated by the teams prove that Beninese baseball is constantly progressing.” He also praised the work of the clubs and supervisors, while looking towards the future: “These championships are the result of collective work. I congratulate all the teams for their discipline and fair play. From now on, our ambition is clear: strengthen grassroots training, further structure our competitions and better prepare our representatives for international events”.
Beyond the titles awarded, this 2025 edition will have above all confirmed the vitality of baseball and Baseball5 in Benin. With clubs becoming more and more competitive and an organization constantly improving, eyes are now turned towards the next championship, with the firm desire to continue to grow Beninese baseball and position it sustainably on the African stage.
