Christmas, the festival of love, family. People come together to celebrate, to spend a good time together. But St. Stephen’s Day did not end peacefully and contemplatively for two families in Klagenfurt. At around 10:50 p.m. there was an argument between the two families. According to the police, there may have been a dangerous threat, among other things. However, it is not yet known why the dispute arose.
Try to break down the front door
The police officers arrived and then left again after the dispute appeared to have been resolved. However, just a short time later, an attempt was made to break down the front door of the alleged suspect and break into the house, but was unsuccessful.
Shortly before the police officers arrived at the house again, the accused had already left the location, but the names of two accused men were learned. During the search in the local area, these men, aged 40 and 47, were stopped and questioned at the police station.
Knocked down with a baseball bat
But the disputes between the families did not end there. A short time after the two men left the police station, a fight was later reported via the police emergency call in the area of the roundabout in Viktring. The 40- and 47-year-olds were allegedly knocked down and injured to an unspecified degree by a 26-year-old man with a baseball bat. They were taken to the clinic or UKH Klagenfurt.
The 26-year-old man was arrested by the police on the spot and, after consultation with the Klagenfurt public prosecutor’s office, was taken to the Klagenfurt police detention center. In the course of the scuffle, there was also a traffic accident between the people involved, although the circumstances of the incident still need to be clarified. Further investigations in this regard are carried out by the Operative Criminal Service (OKD) Klagenfurt.
