Badminton’Ic Pordic: Club History & Growth

Sunday, the Badminton’Ic club organized a departmental youth tournament which brought together all the clubs in the department. On January 24 and 25, we will host an adult departmental tournament.

A great satisfaction for the club, created in 1995, which was, originally, only a leisure club where badminton was played to relax. Young people were not welcomed there explains the new co-president, Anaïs Jupille, elected in June alongside Killian Passereau.

In a few years and under the leadership of the various presidents who succeeded one another, the club developed, becoming an official badminton club. The number of licensees has continued to increase, passing the symbolic bar of 100 licensees in the 2019-2020 season and 126 licensees in September 2025 adds Killian Passereau. The club today has a salaried coach, Constantin Demoy, supported by Pascal Rouillac, a volunteer.

Attaching great importance to the conviviality and diversity of leisure and competitive licensees, the club organizes several internal events each year: meetings ending with a meal where everyone brings a dish to share, a barbecue at the end of the year.

The club is on Facebook and Instagram (badminton’ic).
