Badminton: Focus & CARs – A Content Writer’s Take

TIJUANA, Baja California.- The Baja California State Badminton Association launched the 2025 Intensive Training Camp at the facilities of the Tijuana High Performance Center, an event that brings together nearly 100 players from the states of Yucatán, Chihuahua, Michoacán, Mexico City and the host team of Baja California.

The camp, which runs from December 5 to 20, was designed to strengthen the technical and competitive level of athletes from U11 to advanced children’s categories. Jonathan Morales, president of the State Association, highlighted the importance of holding this concentration at home, allowing local badminton players to face various styles of play and benefit from sports exchange with other states.

During the sessions, participants receive comprehensive training with multiple daily sessions that include technical work, tactics, physical preparation, development of foot movements and sparring inside and outside the eight courts installed in the CAR Multipurpose Gym. Among the attendees are National Olympic medalists, guaranteeing a high-level environment and constant competition.

For the Baja California team, this type of camp represents an exceptional opportunity to strengthen their competitive level without leaving the state. The arrival of invited delegations allows the daily training to be enriched, increasing the pace of play and replicating scenarios similar to those they face in national competitions.

At the end of the camp, the Baja California Cup will begin, the last event on the 2025 calendar of the discipline and key preparation towards the national selection, whose venue and date are to be confirmed.
