Badminton Coach & Talent Developer – OBK Odense

Talent developer and Elite coach for Odense Badminton Club (OBK)

Do you want to help build the next chapter in one of Denmark’s strongest talent environments?
Odense Badminton Club is looking for a talent developer and elite coach who has the desire – and courage – to further develop an ambitious youth environment for U13–U19 as well as the opportunity to join the senior elite

About OBK – and what we are doing:

OBK is one of the leading youth clubs and among the clubs that have historically developed and produced many elite players. We have a strong foundation of skilled players and committed coaches that we want to develop further and thus strengthen our talent environment.

As a talent developer and elite trainer, you get a real opportunity to make an impact on the future direction and help shape structures, content and culture. In OBK, training is not a leisure offer, but an ambitious learning environment, where development, responsibility and community are the foundations for the joy of badminton.

The position:
As a talent developer and elite coach, you will be a key person in working with the club’s most talented youth players and in building the next level in OBK’s talent development. You will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating training – and an important role in bringing together the threads between players, coaches and management. You will work closely with:

  • The other coaching team in OBK
  • The youth committee and the sports management
  • Elite and Talent Center Fyn (ETC-Fyn)

Work assignments:

Your primary tasks will include:

  • Morning training in the OBK hall (approx. 2 times a week)
  • Training in the OBK hall (approx. 3–4 times a week, afternoon/evening)
  • Planning, implementation and evaluation of training in line with OBK’s values and development principles
  • Participation in development and well-being interviews with players
  • Coaching at team matches and selected tournaments
  • Participation in relevant meetings and cooperation forums
  • To be unifying and inspiring around OBK’s other good coaches

The position is put together in dialogue with the right applicant and adapted to your skills, so that you can focus on where you create the most value.

We are looking for a trainer who:

  • Has experience with talent and elite training – preferably in the youth sector
  • Motivated by building, developing and setting direction, not just taking over ready-made solutions
  • Has an eye for both the individual player and the whole in a talent environment
  • Works structured, clear and relational and believes in long-term development rather than short-term results
  • Wants to enter into a close and committed collaboration

We offer

  • Salary by agreement
  • A central role with influence on direction and content
  • Sparring in an ambitious and professional coaching and talent environment
  • Opportunity for relevant coaching training and competence development
  • Clothing and racket package
  • A club with support for development

Accession: No later than 1 August 2026

The position: Part-time – can be combined with another club or employment at ETC-Fyn
