The signing ceremony took place on December 29 at the headquarters of the provincial Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. In attendance were the heads of the ministry and the heads of Bac Ninh Sports Training and Competition Centers No. 1 and No. 2. The companies were represented by representatives from 98 An Binh Import-Export Trading and Service Company Limited and Nhat Viet Alkari Joint Stock Company.
According to the MOU, 98 An Binh Import-Export Trading and Service Company Limited will sponsor beverage products, including sports energy drinks, alkaline ionized water and purified water, for all national, international and provincial sporting events held in Bac Ninh in 2026.
The total amount of drinking water is 2,000 barrels (average 50 barrels per event). The implementation period extends from January to December 2026.
The Bac Ninh Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has directed the heads of Bac Ninh No. 1 and No. 2 sports training and competition centers to coordinate with sponsors to obtain, manage and use drinking water in accordance with regulations, and to proactively report to the ministry management after each competition.
In 2026, Bac Ninh is expected to host numerous provincial-level sports competitions, which will be managed by the No. 1 and No. 2 Sports Training and Competition Centers of Bac Ninh. Competitions include badminton, pickleball, track and field, table tennis, chess, Chinese chess, stick pushing, sepak takraw, tug of war, yoga, men’s and women’s soccer, martial arts, swimming, karate, taekwondo, tennis, and various amateur and industry sporting events.
In addition, Bac Ninh is expected to host numerous national and international sporting events in 2026. The most notable include the “Vietnam International Series 2026” badminton tournament, the 2026 Southeast Asian Judo Championships, as well as a number of national championships in various sports, including youth badminton, youth and northern chess, sepak takraw (team), national qualifying competitions for billiards and snooker, fencing, lion dance, Freestyle wrestling, Greco-Roman wrestling and traditional wrestling pickleball (team) and the national Chinese chess championships.
