The Auria Badminton Club competition team competes this weekend in the last competition of the 2025 season, and does so by traveling to Catalan lands to participate in the Granollers Territorial Master and the TOP TTR Granollers. Both tournaments are held at the Congost Municipal Pavilion facilities, in which eight players from the Auria Bádminton Club will take part.
The Granollers Territorial Master is category N6 and in which Adrián Carabali, Oliver Gausmann, Alejandro Rijo and Miguel Barbado have registered in the absolute category, and Patricia Vargas in the female under-17 category. The rest of the Auria Bádminton Club expedition participates in the TOP TTR Granollers in category N7, which will include Zhi Tao Li and Rubén Jorge in the sub19 category and José María Abad in the absolute category.
In the absolute category of the Granollers Territorial Master, Adrián Carabali faces Joan Callau and Andrés Sanz in the group stage. For his part, Oliver Gausman measures strength against David Riba and Pol Vilar; Alejandro Rijo has been placed alongside Marc Villanueva, Salvador Gómez and Álvaro Hernández; and Miguel Barbado has Sergio Morán, Pol Abarca and Amer Hassan as rivals. And Patricia Vargas in the female U17 category faces Oma Matesanz, Ana Pablo and Evelyn Mena.
In the doubles competition of the Granollers Territorial Master, Adrián Carabali and Oliver Gausmann are a couple in the men’s doubles. Alejandro Rijo will play the men’s doubles with Víctor Pérez (Terrasa Badminton Association) and Miguel Barbado with Samuel Tarife. And in the mixed doubles, Patricia Vargas has Eduardo Curbelo (Lanzarote Raqueta Club) as a partner.
In the TOP TTR Granollers, Zhi Tao Li in the men’s under-19 category does face Xavier Moura Ribeiro and Arnau Blázquez in the group stage, and Rubén Jorge does it against Nico Plaza and Héctor Noyola. For his part, José María Abad competes in the Senior B category, and has as rivals Manuel Chinchilla, Xavi Mir, Edgard Pablo, Víctor Manuel Colay. In the men’s doubles, Zhi Tao Li and Rubén Jorge play together, and José María Abad has Víctor Manuel Colay (Barbastro) as a partner.
The Auria Badminton Club expedition traveled early this Friday morning to Barcelona, and from there they traveled by road to Granollers. The last competition of the year takes place throughout the day on Saturday, and the team’s return is scheduled for Sunday, arriving in Lanzarote at 7:00 p.m.
