Since the six matches in the Champions’ Play-offs last season, he was even completely excluded from the match selection. However, a transfer in the summer did not materialize. As a result, he is now one of the group of players that technical director Olivier Renard was unable to get rid of, while the midfielder still earns a substantial wage without playing any minutes.
In the meantime he showed up again at the RSCA Futures. He played along for half an hour. It does not seem unlikely that Anderlecht wants to put him “in the shop window” for a transfer in this way. Foket also played with the Futures earlier this week. The goal is a departure in January and Renard has been looking for a solution for months. According to Africafoot, Ashimeru has now found a surprising solution: there would be an agreement with Racing Genk. In Limburg he could sign a contract for three seasons.
