Meanwhile, City boss Guardiola hailed the “three great points” earned against Forest who had won three of their last six league games before the meeting between the two sides on Saturday.
“Winter, Nottingham Forest away… I know the memory is weak, but when we win one of the six Premier League games, these types of games happen a lot,” he said.
“Three points, but they are three big points, especially for the quality of the opponents. Sean Dyche has created a really good team, because they are very tough. A few months ago they were fighting for the Champions League, Nuno did an incredible job here, they qualified for Europe.
“This is a very, very good team. I know the momentum is not good in terms of results, but that doesn’t change the quality there and the aggression from Sean Dyche of all the teams there.”
He added: “We talked about that; we need an extraordinary mentality. It’s more important how you suffer and persevere, accept you can be better and be in the game, otherwise you won’t have a chance to win, we lost that game last season.”
