After the qualification of the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Algeria and Iraq on Monday, the posters for the quarter-finals of the Arab Cup are now known. Egypt, Tunisia and the host country Qatar having been prematurely eliminated in the group stage, the names on the final table of the competition hold some nice surprises.
Morocco, which is among the big favorites, will face Syria this Thursday (3:30 p.m.), a few hours before the opposition between Saudi Arabia and Palestine (6:30 p.m.). Jordan and Iraq will meet on Friday (3:30 p.m.), before defending champion Algeria plays its place in the last four against the United Arab Emirates (6:30 p.m.).
The semi-finals will take place on Monday December 15 at 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. The winner of Morocco-Syria will face the winner of the Algeria-United Arab Emirates match. We could therefore find Morocco and Algeria opposed in a final before time. Finally, the winner of the meeting between Palestine and Saudi Arabia will face Jordan or Iraq.
The match for third place will be played on Thursday, December 18 at 12 p.m., before the grand final of the Arab Cup is played the same day at 5 p.m. at the Lusail stadium (Qatar).
