Aorta Cleaning & Fast Recovery: My Story

“Hi guys, today is Tuesday 16th December and I’m speaking to you from my room here at the HAMS Hospital. You all know what happened, but maybe not in detail. Even though I had much else on my mind in recent days, I read a bit of everything they published about me. They wrote everything: who had given me the by-pass, the stent, the pacemaker, who had given me open heart surgery. All… bullshit, to say the least! They didn’t put anything on me. They cleaned my left coronary aorta which was blocked. Who knows for what and who knows how long. We all have two coronary aortas that feed the heart. One of mine was clogged. When our heart notices that one part of it isn’t working it sends you an alarm. While I was at five thousand meters above sea level I had a heart attack. In a daring manner we managed to organize a helicopter which, however, was only able to pick me up the next day and bring me here. I had to spend a night up there, without supplemental oxygen and with a heart attack in progress. The fact is that they cleaned my aorta which was 45-50 percent occluded, freeing it completely. Now I’m having a series of checks and I’m fine anyway. I plan to return to Italy within a few dayswhere I will undergo further medical checks. They already told me that now I have to think about recovering, then I’ll go back to doing what I want“.
