About the project executor
We are “Hirosaki NEXUS”, a baseball team based in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, that “keeps connections with local children for a long time”, from nursery school children to middle school students in their second year of existence. The aim is to provide local children with opportunities for growth through sports and to foster teamwork and communication skills. Even in the harsh winter environment of Aomori Prefecture, the director, coaches, and parents work together with the players every day to help the children continue pursuing their dreams. We hope that you will support the children’s challenges as well as the hardships that can only be experienced in a snowy country.
What I want to achieve with this project
In this project, we would like to raise funds to participate in the CBS Junior High School Softball National Tournament to be held in Ibaraki Prefecture from February 21st to 22nd, 2020. Specifically, we would like to receive support for the cost of renting an indoor practice field during the snowy winter period and for the cost of field trips associated with participating in tournaments. Through this project, we hope to give the children of Aomori Prefecture the opportunity to test their abilities on the national stage and achieve further growth.

Background of project launch
Aomori Prefecture has deep snow in the winter, making it difficult to practice outside. Even under these circumstances, the children do not give up on their dreams and are working hard with the aim of participating in the national competition. However, securing an indoor practice facility costs a lot of money. Additionally, to participate in the national competition held in Ibaraki Prefecture, travel and accommodation costs will be required. In order to solve these issues and provide the best environment for children, we decided to launch a crowdfunding campaign.
Past activities and preparation status
Our team, which is in its second year of existence, has participated in numerous games in local leagues and has steadily improved its results. The team’s efforts paid off, and they have now qualified for the national tournament for the first time. We are making optimal preparations to ensure that the children’s efforts and passion are not wasted. So far, with the support of the local community, we have secured basic funding, but it is still not enough for the national competition.
