Andersson & Ilar: Skiing Interval Start Results

There were many Swedish women in the top battle when the 10 kilometer freestyle was decided in Trondheim. Two stood out a little extra – Moa Ilar and Ebba Andersson. Where Andersson opened strongly and steadily, and Ilar made an impressive finish. In the end it was a battle of seconds, where Ebba Andersson won by 2 seconds ahead of Moa Ilar, and thus wins the season’s first World Cup. Yesterday’s winner Jessie Diggins finished strongly and grabbed third place.

It feels very good, says Ebba Andersson to SVT Sport after the race.

Jonna Sundling had a long shot at the podium, and ended up fifth. A successful day on the women’s side where all Swedish women finished in the top 20.

ON the men’s side, it was once again a heavier day, and many strong Norwegians stretched their bows on the courses around Granåsen. Fastest was young Einar Hedegart, who took his first World Cup victory. The best Swede was Gustaf Berglund in 29th place.
