This was ”Spider”s fourth victory in professional boxing, not counting the other fights the Brazilian had over 20 years ago. Since leaving the UFC, Anderson has beaten names like Tito Ortiz, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and, now, Tyron Woodley.

— Look at these guys. I have young people pushing me, my coaches and my team in Brazil. I’m very happy to be able to continue doing what I love, brother. I tried to keep my distance, but I was very lucky. Obviously, luck is preparation and I’m very lucky because I prepare a lot — commented Anderson after the fight.
