Hasi starts with an overview of the injuries at Anderlecht. The club communicated on Wednesday that Ilay Camara and Mario Stroeykens will probably be out until the end of January due to an injury. “That is a cautious prediction. It could also be that those boys will be back earlier. They are not taking any risks, but it will not affect our mercato,” Besnik Hasi sounds positive.
“Then you will of course also miss Marco Kana and Augustinsson. The intention is for those two to join the internship. Their rehabilitation is going in the right direction. Camara and Stroeykens will not join the internship for the time being, but that may still change.”
Bad luck for Anderlecht: Ilay Camara and Mario Stroeykens will be out of action until at least the end of January
Are you planning to bring other players on an internship?
“Normally three players from the U23 will come along, in addition to the rest of the A-selection. Joshua Nga Kana (16) is a very interesting profile. He is training with us this week and has a lot of potential. Basile Vroninks (19) will also be there. Because Camara is absent, but not only because of that. The club believes in such players. Nunzio Engwanda (18) was also training with us, but he suffered an injury in the last match of the U23, so he’s out too. We’ll see if he’s ready for the internship.
Which profiles do you need in the winter to take the next step with Anderlecht?
“A lot is written in the media and we have done our homework. The sporting cell knows what we need to improve and take steps. But first we have to slim down the core. There are still a few boys who have to leave to reduce that group. Only then can we attract players, but we know exactly what kind of players we need.”

Do you think Cvetkovic is ready to start again against Charleroi?
“Cvetko brought a lot of energy when he came on. Look, Cvetkovic played three games in a row for 90 minutes. Those are long games for him. You also saw that he dropped off a bit the last game he started. It was a bit much for him. The energy was no longer there and that did not benefit his game. He has now come on well the last two times and we have to see how we will play against Charleroi on Friday. There is a chance that he will start.”
What can we wish you for 2026?
“Good health for my players, so that they do not have injuries. For me, what every coach asks for: that we have players and we can get better and better.”
Did you give your staff a gift for Christmas?
“Nothing at all. (laughs) We received a gift from the players. That’s the first time I’ve experienced that in my career. We all received a bottle of wine from them during Christmas dinner. That was very pleasant.”
