América Femenil: World Sevens Semifinalists!

The eagles managed to get a ticket to the semifinal of the tournament World Sevens Footballa tournament in which eight clubs from the continent participated in a 7-a-side football format.

On the first day they faced Nacional from Uruguay and won the match with a score of 5-2, with doubles from Jana Gutiérrez, Montse Saldivar and a little more from Scarlett Camberos.

The second day was against San Diego Wave, in a duel in which the azulcremas were superior, but due to lack of forcefulness they ended the game with a 0-0.

In the end, the San Diego Wave took the game with a 1-0 victory on penalties and with it the three points.

And to close the group stage, they faced Deportivo Cali from Colombia, a match they ended up winning 3-0 with scores from Kiana Palacios, Sarah Luebbert and Montse Saldivar.

The rival in the semifinal will be Tigres and the match will be played this Sunday.
