The mixed teams from the under-10 and under-12 categories of Almirantes, from Itajaí, will compete in the Brazilian Flag Football Championship starting this Friday. The competition takes place until Sunday at Clube de Campo Empyreo, in Leme (SP), and will bring together 108 teams from all over Brazil in six different categories.

In the under-12s, there will be three matches seeking a place in the knockout stage, against 1Down (SP), Corinthians (SP) and Hornets (MS).

Almirantes is already emerging as a state and national power in flag football, which is an adaptation of American football and will be present at the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028. The Almirantes adult team recently won the Santa Catarina title, in addition to fifth place in the Brazilian Championship.
