It has become the unmissable meeting place for basketball fans in France. Like every year, during the Christmas holiday period, the French League offers a nice gift with the traditional All Star Game. An edition which should still be sold out in the lair of the Accor Arena.
A clever – and successful – mix of show and basketball with a match which will pit the best French and foreign players from the Betclic Elite championship and competitions against each other throughout the afternoon. That of the 3-point shot (5:30 p.m.), the best point guard and that – always spectacular – of the best dunk at halftime of the match which begins at 6:15 p.m.).
Last year the match was won by the “world” selection after overtime (149-141) before the eyes of 15,846 spectators (record broken). Hero of the meeting, Monegasque Mike James will be there again this Sunday.
The French selection, beaten in the last two editions, will try to return to success thanks to internationals Mathis Dossou-Yovo, Benjamin Sene (Nanterre), Matthew Strazel, Elie Okobo (Monaco), Amath M’Baye and Nadir Hifi (Paris).
In 2023 Hifi, nicknamed the Prince of Paris, scored 44 points and tied the best mark in an All Star Game.
The All Star Basketball Game is scheduled for this Sunday, December 28. The event will be followed live and unencrypted on television on DAZN from 4:55 p.m. for the various competitions then from 5:45 p.m. on the L’Équipe Channel. The match is scheduled to kick off at 6:15 p.m.
