Alcaraz, 22, had a fulfilling season this season, winning eight tour championships, including two at the Grand Slams, and taking first place for the first time in three years.
However, on the 17th of this month, they announced that they had terminated their coaching contract with Juan Carlos Ferrero, with whom they had built a long-standing mentor-student relationship. This news shocked the tennis world.
He is currently preparing for the new season in his home country of Murcia, Spain, and is training hard under the guidance of Samuel López, who officially joined the team last season.
Alcaraz is scheduled to participate in the Australian Open (Australia/Melbourne, Hard, Grand Slam), which starts on January 18th next year, and is aiming for his first career Grand Slam, in which he wins all four major tournaments.
All eyes will be on his movements next season, when he will be under a new system after suddenly parting ways with his mentor Ferrero.
