2026 SEASON: DEFINITION OF ZONES
PREMISES AND CONSIDERATIONS
Considerations and Criteria ALREADY USED in the 2025 season; That is, there is nothing that has not already been applied.
The zones are assembled BY DRAW, therefore, “chance” can define similar teams (or not) in the zones with respect to 2025.
The draw is carried out by COUPLES, not by individual clubs. That is, if the couple is made up of “Team 1” and “Team 2” and the draw shows that Team 1 is located in zone A, Team 2 will be located in the corresponding zone B.
Criteria for assembling Pairs:
1) CLASSIC Equipment: Ej. Boca – River.

VARIABLES TO CONSIDER
- Requests for Security Organizations for him:
-Arming of the zones.
-Homogeneous distribution of teams (and their consequent number of matches) in the same jurisdiction.
- Signal Requests TELEVISION:
-Homogeneous distribution of Classics throughout the competition, in order to enhance the attractiveness of the product throughout the Tournament.
-That “one Clásico per date” be scheduled in order to distribute the most attractive matches over the greatest number of weekends.
-That Classics are not scheduled on the first dates.
- Requests for stadiums to be used for other purposes, duly requested, with sufficient advance notice and framed in the AFA and LPF Regulations.
- Requests for CLUBS (at the request of their MEMBERS and FANS):
-Maintain the “home order” OF THE CLASSICS with respect to the previous season; That is, if, for example, Team 1 was a visitor in the 2025 Clausura Tournament, it must be “home” in the 2026 Apertura Tournament.
-That the Classic match is NOT scheduled on a “weekday” date, but rather on the dates scheduled on weekends.
- Considerations ON TIME:
-The San Lorenzo and Deportivo Riestra clubs will have a “specific assignment” given their obvious geographical proximity, so as not to affect the scheduling of dates, security issues, etc.
-The Argentine and Vélez clubs will have “specific allocation”, given the intersection of jurisdictions (CABA and AMBA) and with the objective of maintaining the homogeneity and number of matches per weekend, requested by the jurisdictional Security Organizations.
