“FEAR OF GOD ATHLETICS” is a collaboration line between “ADIDAS” and “FEAR OF GOD”. The culmination of this project, which aims to fuse Jerry Lorenzo’s aesthetics and Adidas’ performance technology, will soon be the latest model, the BASKETBALL III.
After the knit material of the first generation “I” and the suede material of the second generation “II,” the latest model “III” uses mesh material with excellent breathability for most of the upper. We pursued lightweightness and fit suitable for performance. The biggest change in design is the revamped three stripes. The three lines that curve like waves on both sides add a new look and fresh personality to the series.
Additionally, the series’ signature sculptural sole unit remains intact. A translucent outsole wraps around the midsole, creating a layered structure that allows the white foam inside to be seen through, creating a technical yet artistic depth. The rubber that rolls up to the sides of the forefoot ensures stability against intense lateral movements, achieving full-fledged specifications that can be worn by NBA players.
Other details include a thickly padded tongue, adjustable toggle lace lock, and foam padding on the heel, all of which combine Lorenzo’s aesthetic with practicality. The midsole continues to feature lightweight and highly resilient “LIGHTSTRIKE” foam, supporting comfortable play.
