Adam Larsson: HBK Farewell & Thanks

Adam Larsson has previously played in, among others, Mjällby AIF, but switched to football coaching seven years ago. He joined HBK before last season as assistant coach, but now gets the chance to become head coach. Kristianstad FC in the first division will be the next destination.

Adam Larsson’s coaching work has so far included Djurgården Academy, Sundbybergs IK and assistant coach for Stockholm Internazionale, before he joined HBK with a focus on football analytical work.

– For everyone who follows him on social media, it is probably clear that we are talking about a football geek, says Jesper Westerberg, club manager in HBK, referring to tactical posts and football analyzes that Larsson offers via his Linkedin page, among other things.

That Adam Larsson gets the opportunity to work full-time as head coach is something he has seen as the next step in his career, hence the switch to Kristianstad FC.

– It is not that common to work full-time as a coach in the first division, so it is some kind of investment that they are making down there, says Jesper Westerberg and comments on Adam’s contribution in HBK as follows:
– He has worked with the analytical and is good at pushing, with a wonderful energy. He has been appreciated by the players as a positive motivator and as a role model with a high work ethic.

The coaching team will not be supplemented after Adam Larsson’s fate, but consists of Johan Lindholm, Hristijan Cvetkovski, Andreas Johansson and Dennis Nilsson.
