69ers Baseball Tour: Luis’s Season Highlights

Luis Simon: My Baseball year 2025 – Baseball trip to Amsterdam

This year I went to Amsterdam with the Hamburg Knights in the second week of the summer holidays. I then trained there every day for a week. The time I spent there was a lot of fun and I got a lot out of it. We left on Monday around 10 a.m. and arrived in Amsterdam at around 3 p.m. There we brought our things to the accommodation and then drove straight to the Amsterdam Pirates baseball facility and did batting practice. Throughout the week there was intensive and strenuous baseball training and a little sightseeing in between. We had base running, infield, pitching, hitting and coordination training. After breakfast there was an intensive warm-up. On Wednesday and Friday we had a game against the Amsterdam Pirates academy. Theory wasn’t missing this week either. Not only were we trained by our coaches, we also had a few training sessions with a player from the Amsterdam Pirates second team, where we learned a lot again. I would like to thank the Hamburg Knights for this great trip and the Holm Westend 69’ers for the financial subsidy. I would be happy to be there again next year.
