2026 World Cup Draw: Groups & Full Schedule

It was a long ceremony, marked by the omnipresence of Donald Trump alongside Gianni Infantino, the president of Fifa, which ultimately led to a beautiful draw for the twelve groups for the next World Cup.

This will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026 and will be co-organized by the United States, Mexico and Canada.

Didier Deschamps’ Blues will be placed in Group I.

As a reminder, the 48 participating nations are divided into twelve groups of four teams, the first two of which will be directly qualified for the round of 16, unprecedented in the history of the World Cup. The eight best third-place finishers will complete the table.

The opening match, between Mexico and South Africa, is scheduled for June 11 at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City. The final will take place on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in Greater New York.

Sixteen stadiums will host the competition’s matches (eleven in the United States, three in Mexico and two in Canada). The dates and stadiums of the matches will be announced this Saturday, December 6.
