The signing ceremony was attended on behalf of the Bac Ninh Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism by Mr. Nguyen Van Anh, Deputy Director of the Ministry, Mr. Nguyen Van Oanh, Head of the Sports Management Department, and the heads of Bac Ninh No. 1 and No. 2 Sports Training and Competition Centers. Business representatives included the 98 An Binh Import-Export Trading and Service Company Limited and the Nhat Viet Alkari Joint Stock Company.
According to the MoU, 98 An Binh Import-Export Trading and Service Co., Ltd. Sponsor beverage products, including sports drinks, alkaline ionized water and purified water, for all national, international and regional sporting events in Bac Ninh in 2026. The total amount of sponsorship is expected to be around 2,000 boxes, an average of around 50 boxes per event, and will be implemented from January 2026 to the end of December 2026.
Along with the MoU, both sides agreed to attach two detailed annexes setting out the plan for organizing sporting events in 2026. According to Bac Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism officials, the province is planning numerous provincial-level sports competitions, which will be managed by the No. 1 and No. 2 Sports Training and Competition Centers. Plans include badminton, pickleball, athletics, table tennis, chess, Chinese chess, stick pressing, sepak takraw, tug of war, yoga, soccer (men’s and women’s), martial arts, swimming, karate, taekwondo, tennis, as well as amateur and industry sporting events. The competitions take place throughout the year, with a focus on the first two months, to promote physical fitness and sports activity in the province.
In addition, Bac Ninh is expected to host several national and international sporting events in 2026. The most notable include the 2026 Vietnam International Series badminton tournament, the 2026 Southeast Asian Judo Championships, as well as a number of national championships in various sports, including youth badminton, youth chess, Northern chess, Sepak Takraw (team), national qualifying competitions for billiards and snooker, fencing, lion dance, beach wrestling, pickleball (team), and the Chinese Chess National Championships. These are highly professional tournaments that attract numerous national and international athletes.
Regarding rights and obligations, the Bac Ninh Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is committed to enabling sponsors to carry out promotional activities in accordance with the law. This includes placing logos on main backdrops, banners and at the opening ceremonies of sporting events, as well as supporting the broadcast of promotional videos before and after competitions, where conditions permit. In return, 98 An Binh Import-Export Trading and Service Company Limited will provide all in-kind contributions as a sponsor and accompany the opening, closing and award ceremonies of the sporting events as planned.
Both sides agreed to assign the responsible contact persons of the No. 1 and No. 2 sports training and competition centers in Bac Ninh to coordinate the acceptance, management and effective use of sponsorship funds and to report regularly on the results after each tournament. The agreement was approved at 4:00 p.m. on the same day with broad support from all stakeholders and serves as the basis for the coordinated implementation of water sponsorship activities for the Bac Ninh Provincial Sports Competition System in 2026.
