There are two months left until the start of the hockey tournament at the 2026 Olympics. Although the rosters of the individual national teams are not yet known, we already know which jerseys aroused the greatest response.
Fans and experts alike agree that there are clear favorites among the presented sets. And according to the prestigious overseas portal Bleacher Report patria Slovak jerseys to the very top.
Most of the twelve participating countries have already presented their jerseys for Milan, only Italy and Latvia are still waiting.
And since it will be the first best-of-the-best tournament at the Olympics since 2014, it’s no wonder that every detail is highly valued.
Such a format simply asks that all teams come not only prepared for the game, but also perfectly dressed.
Slovaks in first place
“Oh, this is it.” That’s how the portal started evaluating Slovakian jerseys for the Olympics.
The Slovaks presented new sets of jerseys in mid-November and they are different from what we have been used to.

The jersey is dominated by the silhouette of the Tatras and the national emblem, located in the middle of the jersey. “The new jerseys carry the most typical thing for our country – the mountains,” the association says on its website.
The colors of the national team have not changed, the new sets of jerseys will be in a white-blue-red combination. The home version of the jersey will be predominantly blue, while the away version will be white.
Hockey players should play in them for the next Olympic cycle, i.e. the period from 2026 to 2030, including the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina.
“We already know how well red, white and blue go with hockey jerseys, but with this look the Slovaks will be by far the best dressed team of the tournament,” he said Bleacher Report.
“Slovakia will have their hands full in the group with Sweden, Finland and Italy, and even if it’s not exactly the ‘group of death’, it will definitely be the most fashionable group in the tournament.”
Canada has superhero jerseys
The portal placed the United States in second place, which bet on a retro combination that follows the year 1960.
It was then that American hockey players won the first Olympic gold medal against their biggest rival, Canada.
“Are we sure that Jagr is not playing?” this is how Bleacher Report comments on the jerseys of the Czech Republic, which it placed in third place.
Our western neighbors chose a traditional combination of colors, which attracted the attention of overseas countries as well.
“When we see Martin Nečas and David Pastrňák running around the ice in these jerseys, it will be hard not to think of Jaromír Jágr and Dominik Hašek.”
The fourth place belongs to the traditional colors of Germany, the fifth position was taken by the Swedes, and the sixth by the Finns.
The most watched team at the tournament – Canada – is only in seventh place in the list of jerseys. Although their jerseys also met with a positive response, the overseas website evaluates them negatively.
“The Canadian look tries to be ultra-modern and bold, but this just isn’t it. The maple leaf is huge and slanted, making it look more like something meant for a superhero than a hockey team.”
Bleacher Report called the jerseys of Switzerland and France, which ranked eighth and ninth in the “most beautiful jerseys” ranking, as relatively uninteresting.
