PUEBLA, Pue., December 16, 2025.- They named the state of Puebla as the main venue for the final phase of the 2026 National Olympiad, which will host the development of 16 disciplines, this during the development of the Second Ordinary Session of the National System of Physical Culture and Sports (Sinade), which was held this Tuesday, December 16 in Puebla.

Likewise, it should be noted that Puebla will host the fronton and handball in the Regional phase.

The appointment of Puebla was confirmed through a video, which was witnessed by the head of the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sports (Conade), Rommel Pacheco Marrufo, along with the Secretary of Sports and Youth in Puebla, Gabriela Sánchez Saavedra; and the president of the state, Alejandro Armenta Mier.

After granting the venue, the governor promised to provide all the facilities for the development of the event.

Meanwhile, the professional boxer also expressed her pleasure because “Puebla will once again become the epicenter of sport in our country.”

In the Sinade session it was also determined that Nayarit will host the open water disciplines, baseball 5, baseball, boxing, weightlifting, surfing and triathlon; while Jalisco will host bowling, cycling, field hockey, skateboarding, modern pentathlon, shooting sports, water polo and athletics.

For its part, San Luis Potosí will be the host for the development of chess, charrería, handball, racquetball, squash and rodeo.

The neighboring state of Tlaxcala, which was the most likely to be the main venue, will repeat with the sports of badminton, artistic gymnastics for women and men, rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline gymnastics, roller skates in their artistic and speed modalities, taekwondo and archery.

Finally, Yucatán will have the actions of canoeing, judo, rowing and sailing; and in Guanajuato the diving, fronton, swimming and artistic swimming events will take place.
