On 3 and 4 December, the LIFE PLATFORM MEETING on Agrifood will be held at the University of Bologna, organized by the Directorate General for Climate Action (DG CLIMA) and the European Agency for Climate, Infrastructure and the Environment (CINEA) in collaboration with the Alma Mater. Representatives of the European Commission, planners, researchers and international stakeholders will discuss strategies and solutions for agriculture more resilient to climate change.
DISTAL – Department of Agro-Food Sciences and Technologies was chosen as the host venue as the coordinating Department of the IMAGE LIFE project, around which the thematic focus of the event is developed.
“Hosting the LIFE PLATFORM MEETING represents a significant international recognition – declares Professor Giovanni Dinelli, Director of DISTAL and Scientific Manager of IMAGE LIFE – Our project represents an emblematic case study: it addresses the climatic vulnerabilities of the Parmigiano Reggiano supply chain with an integrated approach. And it is at the center of European interest for its ability to combine sustainability, quality of production and adaptation to new climate scenarios”.
Two days of work on agriculture, climate and green transition, therefore, with moments of comparison between LIFE projects, technical sessions, thematic workshops and a field visit dedicated to the activities of the IMAGE LIFE project.
