The Bahraini Table Tennis Federation signed a memorandum of understanding with the Turkish Table Tennis Federation on the sidelines of the Asian Youth Games hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain. It was signed by Sheikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Table Tennis Federation and Vice-President of the Asian Table Tennis Federation, and by the Turkish Table Tennis Federation Karim Kok, President of the Turkish Table Tennis Federation, in the presence of Ali Abdul Ali Al-Madh, Vice President of the Federation, and Mr. Jaafar Hadi, Secretary General of the Bahraini Federation and Tahsin Ergül Kabir. Sheikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa said that the memorandum of understanding aims to enhance means of cooperation in everything related to developing the game at all levels, in particular holding camps and tournaments and participating in mutual activities between the two federations related to players, coaches and referees, adding, “We believe that there is great importance in establishing real partnerships with pioneering and advanced federations in the game, such as the friendly Turkish federation, with which we have good relations.”
For his part, Karim Kok said that the Turkish Table Tennis Federation is proud of the cooperation and good relationship with the Bahraini Table Tennis Federation and that this relationship has resulted in a number of mutual initiatives, the latest of which is the establishment of an external camp for the Bahraini teams before participating in the Arab Championship in Turkey. He added, “This memorandum of understanding aims to increase and enhance cooperation between us. We have advanced table tennis and in Bahrain there is great work being done by the Bahraini Federation as evidenced by the qualification for the World Cup in London 2025 recently.
