Originally from Liancourt in the Paris region, he first encountered the CAB during a crucial N2 promotion playoff match. Now entering his third season with the CAB, Barbelette’s enthusiasm for the club remains as strong as ever. “The year is going wonderfully, as it has for three years already!” he shared, reflecting the positive atmosphere both on and off the court.
While acknowledging the competitive nature of their current N3 group, Barbelette emphasizes the team’s strong unity. “We have a complicated group, but the team is well united. We can therefore hope to find some good matches,” he stated. He believes the team is “moving in the right direction,” with players finding effective partnerships and a collective motivation that fuels their performance. This sense of camaraderie is a key factor in his continued enjoyment: “There is everything to have a great atmosphere.”
Looking ahead to upcoming matches, Barbelette anticipates facing familiar faces. in Maisons-Laffitte, he expects to encounter “certain players including Quentin Beauvisage, one of my former partners being younger.” This highlights the interconnected nature of the badminton community, where rivalries and friendships often intertwine.
Between match days, Barbelette remains committed to honing his skills. “Personally, I try to do as many tournaments as possible and keep this pleasure of playing to be at my best this season,” he explained.
