The Japan Rugby Football Association (Chairman: Masato Tsuchida, Minato-ku, Tokyo), with the support of Taiyo Life Insurance Co., Ltd., is pleased to announce that it has decided to hold a rugby class for junior high school students called “Taiyo Life Rugby 1-Day School” on November 30th (Sunday) at Matsuyama University Bunkyo Campus Ground (Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture). We would also like to inform you that the event will be held in conjunction with the “Ehime Rugby Exchange Festival” sponsored by the Ehime Prefecture Rugby Football Association.
At Taiyo Seimei Rugby 1-day School, we have former Japanese national team players as coaches who will provide direct instruction on techniques to the players, with the aim of improving the skills and communication skills of junior high school students. This year, the event will be held at five locations across the country, and for this third time, we will be inviting former Japan Men’s National Team player Toetsu Taufa and former Japan Men’s Sevens representative Masataku Tsukijo as lecturers. We have decided to hold this event in Matsuyama City in order to provide an opportunity to develop players who can play an active role in society, not only by improving their rugby skills but also by improving their communication skills.
Through the Taiyo Life Rugby 1-day School, Taiyo Life and the Japan Rugby Football Union will provide growth opportunities for children aiming to compete in the Taiyo Life Cup National Junior High School Rugby Football Tournament, foster independence and sociability in the process of growth, and contribute to the realization of a better local community.
