Selective Archery Competition: Results & Highlights

Organized by the Arc-club of Saint-Christol-lez-Alès, the indoor archery competition was selective for the French FFTA championship. He brought together 117 bows under the arbitration responsibility of Anne Fourmaud, of the Archers de Petite Camargue, with her colleagues, Ève Dossal and Christiane Levy.

The awards were presented in the presence of the mayor, Jean-Charles Bénézet, Jean-Pierre Roux, deputy for sports, and the president of the WHO, André Julian. Out of twenty-seven local archers, eleven reached the podium.

In recurve arch, in U13 girls, Valentine Auber finished 1st, followed by Lola Barthelot, from Saint-Geniès-de-Malgoirès. Sierra Axel Gualano (Beaucaire) is 1st in U13 boys.

In U15 girls, Léa Boujarel won for the locals and Arthur Michotte from Welle finished 2nd in boys after Manduel. In U18 girls, Mathilde Diara finished 3rd after Nîmes, while 1st place went to Michel Louen Jeanperrin (Nîmes). In U21 women, Élise Barthelot (Saint-Geniès-de-Malgoirès) wins while in men, Hugo Tranchesec (Nîmes) is followed by Anthony Gabban, Indigo Gasc and Anthony Couret (Saint-Christol-lez-Alès).

In seniors 1, Mathilde Angenieux (Pont-Saint-Esprit) and Loïc Baboulène (Beaucaire). In seniors 2, Karine Mosettich (Saint-Geniès-de-Malgoirès) wins as does Manuel Mercier (Alès). In seniors 3, Anne-Marie Bonhoure (Nîmes) and Patrick Minot (Anse) followed by Éric Charbonnier (Saint-Christol-lez-Alès).

In compound arch, the U21 Clara Altadill (Saint-Martin-de-Crau) finished 1st and in seniors 1, Océane Crespeau (Saint-Christol-lez-Alès). In senior 1 men, Julien Parpillon and Alexis Charaudeau (Saint-Martin-de-Crau) are followed by Mathieu Salas (Castelsarrasin).

In senior 2 ladies, Jocelyne Jouve is 1st and Stéphanie Deutsch, 4th. In seniors 2, David Olive (Saint-Martin-de-Crau) will be followed by François Giner (ACSC), 4th. In seniors 3 ladies Michèle Robert (Pont-Saint-Esprit) is followed by Nicole Meylan. In senior 3, André Robert (Pont-Saint-Esprit) ranks 1st.

In Bare Bow, in senior ladies, Céline Biuché (Saint-Martin-de-Crau) is 1st, in men the local Loïc Ribes, finishes 1st.

The success of young Camille, Cédric and Anthony prepares other tomorrows. Volunteers and public authorities made this success possible, and it will certainly be the same on December 20 and 21 at the next competition.
