Ritter Sport is expanding its range and is initially bringing a chocolate onto the market for a short time that is aimed specifically at football fans.

Germany is in football fever: On November 9th, the Indianapolis Colts will face the Atlanta Falcons in the first regular NFL season game in Berlin. The channels RTL and Dazn will broadcast from 3:30 p.m.
“We will have a sold-out Olympic Stadium,” said Alexander Steinforth, General Manager of NFL Germany, in advance. Overall, demand was comparable to the figures from the previous year in Munich, when around three million people were interested in the NFL game.
Football is a trend sport in Germany, and the fan base in this country is growing rapidly. And Ritter Sport is now jumping on the NFL hype train. The German family business has announced a new type of chocolate that will be available on supermarket shelves from November.
Supermarket: Ritter Sport is releasing a new variety with a football look
As usual, the new Ritter Sport Salted Caramel Limited Edition variety comes in a square 100 gram pack. The company puts the price at 1.99 euros (RRP)..
Ritter Sport relies on chocolate Whole milk, which in turn is mixed with salted butter caramel crisps and caramel pieces. The packaging is orange, reminiscent of the caramel used. A huge football depicted is intended to make the NFL connection visible.

The new variety is advertised as a limited edition, meaning it will only be available for a limited time. Ritter Sport doesn’t say exactly how long.
The German family business had already made the announcement about NFL chocolate a few weeks before it was announced A new variety was launched in the flavor Matcha Strawberry. It was sold out within a short time – a success that Ritter Sport now certainly wants to build on.
The matcha chocolate was promoted with a large social media campaign at the time. Ritter Sport has now also announced one for the NFL variety. However, one day after the press release was sent out, it had not yet started. Only then will we see how customers react to the new product.
The chocolate factory that would eventually become Ritter Sport was founded in Stuttgart in 1912. Today the company employs around 1,900 people and, according to its own information, achieved sales of 605 million euros in 2024. A few weeks ago, Ritter Sport made headlines with a lawsuit against a Mannheim family business that also sold square bars.
