The Puertollano Archery Club has had a brilliant performance in the 9th ‘Santa Catalina’ Autumn Trophy, held this Sunday in Jaén and organized by the ‘Santa Catalina’ Club in a day that counts as the seventh event of the 15th Interclub League. In a high-level competition, held in the ‘Juan Carlos Martínez Esteban’ Pavilion and marked by the cool autumn weather typical of the city at this time, the Puertollan archers have once again demonstrated their excellent form.
Vega Nieto García has obtained an outstanding second position in Benjamín Recurvo Femenino, confirming the projection of the club’s youth team. Her partner Jara Nieto García has shone again by proclaiming herself champion in the Women’s Children’s Recurve, reaffirming the solid career she is building throughout this season. In Men’s Longbow Veteran, José Antonio Izquierdo del Castillo has achieved a creditable second place, showing the experience and confidence that characterize him in events of this level. In the senior category, Marina Guijarro Notario has won first place in Women’s Recurve with an impeccable performance, while Marta Álvarez Talavera has completed the podium in a competitive category, achieving third place.
The Puertollano Shooting Club thanks the Santa Catalina Club for the magnificent organization of the event, which has allowed us to enjoy a dynamic competition, congratulating all the participants for their efforts and, especially, the medalists from Puertollano, whose results confirm the sporting strength of the club.
